Girlguiding Moray celebrates World Thinking Day.

Over 100 members of Girlguiding Moray joined together on Saturday 22 February to celebrate World Thinking Day. The theme for this year's World Thinking Day was diversity, equity and inclusion.

Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, Young Leaders, and Trefoil Guild came together to celebrate the occasion in New Elgin Hall. The girls took part in activities from all over the world including origami, playing digeridoos, making ‘smores, as well as a quiz about Europe.

Each of the eight units involved got up on stage and performed a song before the lights went down and the music went up and the party started.

Elgin and Lhanbryde District continued the celebrations on Tuesday 25 February at Lhanbryde Primary School. Over 80 Rainbows, Brownies and Guides joined together to renew their guiding promises in a gigantic horseshoe.

The girls that attended had a fantastic time doing the 'Living Threads' activity from this year's WAGGGS Challenge Badge. In keeping with this year's theme for World Thinking Day, the group used threads to represent the concepts of diversity, equity, and inclusion. This activity is designed to inspire you to reflect on how you can put equity and inclusion into practice, and how you can celebrate diversity within your community and beyond.
